Lily gritted her teeth and closed her dark eyes with frustration. It was done, she thought she could get through but she couldn't. It had beaten her.
She sniffed letting a small warm tear run down her cheek. She had run away for a better life and now she would die here, alone and cold.
The small mare dropped to her knees heavily, letting the snow press against her sides.
Her breathing became shallow, but relaxed. I'm coming home...

Moon pranced around the snowy hills. He sniffed the air. A new scent blew towads him. It was another horse. He galloped in that direction, hoping to find it alive. When he came upon a mare lying in the ground his eyes opened wide. Approaching her quietly, he hoped she was still alive. Moon felt relief wash over him. Her stomach rised then fell, but in shallow breaths.

"Hello? Are you awake?" He asked quietly, with concern.

Lily opened her eyes wide, hearing the deep voice beside her. Her breathing quickened, she began to panic, stallions were not what she wanted right now. She said nothing to the stallion, watching him nervously instead.

Moon stepped back, seeing her uncomfortablness.

"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." His voice was soft and concerned.

Lily closed her eyes,'Thankyou,' she said slightly relieved. She closed them tighter and rolled back onto her feet, clumps of hardened snow clung to her golden coat. She smiled weakly at the stallion, her brown eyes dull and broken. She held her head lower than the normal arabian,'My name is Lilyanna,' she said quietly.

Nice to meet you Lilyanna. My name Is Moon Dance. But call me Moon." He smiled at her softly, hoping she wouldn't think she was aggresive.

"Are you okay?" He asked, seeing the poor tiny mare looked weak and dull.

"If you want, you can come back to my home for a while, and regain your strength." He suggested this happily.

Lily looked at the stallion warily, old instincts kicking in again,'What's in it for you?' she said quickly, throwing her defences up.

Moon smilied.

"Uh.. Company? I never get that usually. A friend? Haven't had one in years." Moon shook his head, sorrow capturing him, he realized how mournful his life actually was.

Lily looked up at the stallion, pity in her eyes. She smiled weakly,'Okay Moon, anywhere is better than here right?' she said softly. Her eyes brightened slightly as she looked at him.

Moon smiled in relief.

"Yep. Would you like to go now?" He asked, looking up at the sky.

Lily nodded vigorously(sp),'Please,' she said despersatly. She shivered as a cold wid blew over the plain, she felt a drop of water land on her shoulder and looked at the sky. Dark rainclouds covered the blue sky, already rain was starting to fall.

Moon felt rain on his skin as well.

"Righty o's. this way. " he nudged her towards his territory.
